Jun Yang (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree from the Department of Automatic Control, Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in control theory and control engineering from the School of Automation, Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2011. His current research interests include disturbance estimation and compensation, advanced control theory, and its application to flight control systems and motion control systems. He received the Premium Award for the best paper of IET Control Theory and Applications, in 2017, and the ICI Prize for the best paper of the Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control, in 2016. He is an Associate Editor of the Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control.
